Flybridge Staffing is actively seeking a Quality Assurance Automation Specialist for a prominent client. This role is designed for a hybrid work model, allowing flexibility after an initial onboarding period. The position operates within a Linux-centric environment that utilizes open-source technologies and cloud solutions, along with a proprietary distributed search and computing platform. Your expertise in testing, scripting, and automation will be pivotal in supporting the team responsible for designing, developing, executing, and maintaining both manual and automated test suites for a variety of web application products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive Test Plans and detailed Test Cases for Web, Mobile, and API applications.
- Automate existing manual test cases and establish Test Strategies for our applications.
- Collaborate closely with the QA Manager, Developers, and project managers to plan, monitor, and report on testing strategies, test coverage, and progress.
- Coordinate testing activities and metrics with the Application Development team and relevant stakeholders.
- Conduct testing on applications that integrate with various third-party systems.
- Assist in identifying and preventing defects during the early stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Required Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Basic understanding of both Manual and Automated Quality Assurance testing.
- 1-2 years of scripting experience in JavaScript, Python, or a similar programming language.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Selenium, Mocha, Katalon Studio, JMeter, Jira Test Manager, Jenkins, and Pytest is preferred.
- Experience in testing REST APIs, web user interfaces, and mobile applications.
- Ability to create testing solutions for dynamic products that vary based on underlying data.
- Experience with smoke tests, regression testing, functional testing, and performance testing.
- Knowledge of JSON, XML, and HTML.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with effective collaboration abilities.
