Job Summary

Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Special Procedure Technician to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for performing comprehensive sleep testing and analysis, as well as associated interventions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcoming patients and orienting them to a sleep lab environment
  • Placing leads on patients and monitoring/performing studies
  • Unhooking patients after studies and cleaning and maintaining equipment
  • Completing appropriate forms and providing training to co-workers
  • Supervising other staff and performing lab manager-type duties as needed
Requirements
  • Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a registered Polysomnographic Technologist
  • NYS license to practice as a sleep technician
  • Valid BLS/CPR card
  • Associate's Degree in Polysomnography or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience
Work Environment

This position requires working Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday evenings. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
