As the Senior Manager of Partnership Taxation Strategies, you will spearhead the team's efforts in conducting thorough primary and secondary evaluations of intricate tax filings while delivering expert tax advisory services to our partnership clientele. Your collaboration with the Partnership Tax team will be essential as you provide insights on return preparation and identify tax optimization opportunities, emphasizing precision, quality, and superior client service, because our collective success is paramount.
From the outset, you will be equipped with top-tier tools and resources to flourish in your position, addressing client needs, delivering high-impact solutions, and empowering you to achieve more with confidence.
Your daily responsibilities may encompass:
Assessing the tax implications of partnership agreements and managing clients' Internal Revenue Code (IRC) 704b accounts.
Recruiting and mentoring skilled professionals.
Overseeing the activities of multiple client service teams on engagements; planning, executing, directing, and finalizing tax projects across diverse industries; providing innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise; marketing, selling, designing, and implementing tax strategies for clients while adhering to budget constraints.
Building and nurturing new business and client relationships, both with existing clients and prospective ones.
Managing, developing, training, and mentoring staff on tax projects and evaluating their performance during engagement and year-end reviews.
Conducting research and providing consultation on various tax issues, primarily related to Sub-chapter K-Partnership taxation; utilizing tax-related software for return preparation and tax research.
Addressing inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities.
Maintaining proactive communication with clients to manage expectations, ensure deadlines are met, and strengthen client relationships.
Leading and supporting business development initiatives, including identification, proposal development, and other pursuit activities with clients.
Performing additional duties as assigned.
Required technical skills and qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
CPA certification is mandatory.
A minimum of ten years of progressive experience in tax compliance and/or consulting within public accounting or a blend of industry and public accounting experience.
Preferred experience in partnership structuring, entity formation, and mergers & acquisitions.
Exceptional analytical, technical, and tax accounting/technology skills with proficiency in US GAAP, partnership returns, joint ventures, and non-corporate entity tax returns, along with a solid understanding of Sub-chapter K partnership taxation.
Outstanding client service and communication abilities, with a proven track record of developing and maintaining excellent client relationships.
Strong leadership, business development, recruiting, training, coaching, and mentoring capabilities, complemented by excellent written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a fast-paced, results-oriented team environment.
Willingness to travel as necessary.
Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required.
