Role Summary:
This position is for an early-career Financial Analyst within the High Energy Laser (HEL) sector of Land & Air Defense Systems (LADS). The selected candidate will assist in the financial oversight of the Directed Energy Maneuver-Short Range Air Defense (DE M-SHORAD) Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) Sustainment contract.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive financial analyses to ensure precise reporting and timely identification of potential issues.
  • Analyze risks and opportunities, variances from forecasts, and overall financial performance.
  • Compile financial data for various reviews, including bi-weekly Risk & Opportunity assessments and internal leadership meetings.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Develop expertise in Earned Value Management (EVM) and participate in routine EVM assessments.
Essential Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline is required.
  • Approximately 2 years of relevant experience in finance or a related field.
  • Familiarity with EVM, Estimate at Completion (EAC), and budgeting practices.
  • U.S. citizenship is mandatory due to government contractual obligations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Capability to work both independently and collaboratively with diverse teams.
