Job Summary:

Epic Travel Staffing is seeking a skilled Travel RN - PCU 7 to join our team. As a Travel Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care to patients in the PCU 7 unit, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Monitor patients' conditions and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team
  • Participate in patient education and discharge planning

Requirements:

  • Current VA license
  • 2 years of experience in a PCU or similar setting
  • BCLS and ACLS certification
  • PCU RN experience (7 West)

Work Environment:

The PCU 7 unit is a fast-paced environment with an average of 5-10 discharges/admits daily. You will have the opportunity to care for patients from outlying areas who seek specialty services, focusing on acute and chronic management of heart failure patients presenting in crisis, acute cardiac events, and illnesses, exacerbation of chronic cardiac disease.

Unit Details:

  • 7 West unit
  • 1:5 ratios for PCU (goal is 1:4)
  • Float as needed to other PCU units and potentially Med Surg
