Job Title: On Call Bartender – Hotel Restaurant

Job Summary:

Ocean Place Resort & Spa is seeking a skilled and charismatic On Call Bartender to join our hotel restaurant team. As a key member of our Food & Beverage department, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service, crafting innovative cocktails, and ensuring guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide outstanding customer service with a friendly and welcoming attitude, ensuring a memorable experience for our guests.
  • Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and guest preferences, showcasing your expertise in mixology.
  • Set up and maintain the bar station, ensuring cleanliness and organization throughout the shift, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Manage bar inventory and inform management of supply needs, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions, ensuring accurate processing and adherence to all cash handling policies.
  • Collaborate with restaurant servers and kitchen staff to meet guest needs in a timely manner, promoting a cohesive and efficient service.
  • Assist with event setup and breakdown when necessary, ensuring all bar equipment is properly cleaned and stored.
  • Engage in upselling techniques to maximize revenue while enhancing the guest experience, driving sales and growth.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including stocking garnishes, glassware, and other supplies, adhering to company standards.

Qualifications:

  • Previous bartending experience in a high-volume hotel or restaurant setting is preferred, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional service.
  • Knowledge of classic cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits, with a passion for mixology and innovation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering excellent customer service, with the ability to handle a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed, with a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • TIPS or equivalent alcohol service certification is a plus, demonstrating your commitment to responsible service.
  • Excellent communication and multitasking skills, with the ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
