Avera St. Mary's: A Top 20 Rural Community Hospital

Sign-On Bonus: $15,000

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loan Repayment Program: This role qualifies for Avera's Student Loan Repayment Program, providing monthly contributions of $167 (up to $10,000) to assist in reducing your student debt.
  • Potential for a $15,000 sign-on bonus with a three-year commitment
  • Relocation assistance may be available
  • Work schedule includes 4 overnight shifts per week

Role Overview:

  • Review and confirm physician orders, conduct patient evaluations, and develop treatment plans and objectives.
  • Provide recommendations to physicians regarding patient therapy.
  • Support discharge planning and educate patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, therapies administered, patient reactions, and educational instructions.
  • Utilize necessary documentation tools to ensure compliance and recordkeeping.
  • Foster effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams to enhance collaborative efforts.

Qualifications:

Must possess Registered Respiratory Therapist credentials from the National Board for Respiratory Care.

Must be licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the state.

Certifications Required:

  • Current certifications in BLS, PALS, NRP, and ACLS.

Work Schedule:

  • Hours are from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM, 4 nights per week, with occasional weekends, holidays, and on-call responsibilities; total of 72 hours every two weeks.

Compensation:

The hourly wage for this position is competitive, with actual rates based on experience.
