Job Summary

The Senior Manager Audit Programs will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of audit programs to ensure the effectiveness of internal controls and risk management processes across Alaska Air Group's operating divisions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement audit strategies to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  2. Lead a team of auditors in conducting audits, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality results.
  3. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and develop recommendations for process enhancements.
  4. Ensure audit findings are effectively addressed and resolved, and oversee the tracking and assessment of corrective actions.
  5. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including management and audit committees.

Requirements

  1. 7 years of experience in business or operational process auditing, or equivalent in operational or audit leadership.
  2. 4 years of leadership experience, with at least some of this experience directly leading people.
  3. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  4. High school diploma or equivalent.
  5. Minimum age of 18.
  6. Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Proven ability to quickly understand complex processes, effectively scope assessments, and lead high-energy, success-oriented teams.
  2. Detail-oriented and highly organized, with ability to multi-task and work independently with limited guidance in a fast-paced environment.
  3. Strong analytical skills, process-driven, and a strong safety advocate.
  4. Excellent communication (e.g., verbal, written, and listening) and interpersonal skills.
  5. Aviation, safety program management, or Safety Management Systems (SMS) experience.
  6. Auditor certification or training (e.g., Certified Professional Accountant (CPA), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), ISO Quality Auditor).

Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air offer a competitive salary range of $128,700 - $199,500 per year, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including free standby travel privileges, a generous 401(k) match program, quarterly and annual bonus plans, and generous holiday and paid time off.
