We are seeking a highly skilled Research Chemist to join our team in Swannanoa, NC. As a key member of our process development team, you will be responsible for conducting chemical and physical laboratory tests to assist scientists in making qualitative and quantitative analyses of solids, liquids, and gaseous materials.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemistry or biology and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. You will work closely with our chemists and engineers to develop new products and processes, and ensure that they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring product quality to ensure compliance to standards and specifications
  • Setting up and conducting chemical experiments, tests, and analyses using techniques such as chromatography, spectroscopy, physical and chemical separation techniques, and microscopy
  • Compiling and interpreting results of tests and analyses
  • Providing technical support and assistance to chemists and engineers
  • Maintaining, cleaning, and sterilizing laboratory instruments and equipment

You will also be responsible for writing technical reports and preparing graphs and charts to document experimental results. If you have a passion for chemistry and a strong work ethic, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000 per year

This is a 6-month contract position with the possibility of extension. The successful candidate will have a strong educational background, preferably a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Biology, and relevant experience in a similar role.
