We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Assistant Teacher for our after-school program. The successful candidate will work directly with students in a dynamic and engaging environment, leading small groups in arts, sports, academics, and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement daily after-school programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of children from Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 5.
  • Utilize a range of teaching methods and activities to foster a love of learning and promote social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
  • Collaborate with students to design and deliver activities, workshops, and events that align with their interests and passions.
  • Maintain a safe and organized physical environment that supports children's growth and development.
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to program management and communication with parents and staff.
  • Exemplify a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all interactions with students, colleagues, and community members.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Two years of experience working with young children
  • Passion for working with children and a commitment to their well-being
  • Ability to engage and motivate students, with a patient and flexible approach
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
