Mass Spectrometry Specialist

Lighthouse Lab Services is proud to present an opportunity for a Mass Spectrometry Specialist to become a vital part of a dynamic laboratory team.

• Oversee laboratory operations to ensure compliance with established internal protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports and budgets, ensuring the laboratory meets its operational and performance objectives.
• Support the Director in the budgeting process by identifying resources and evaluating new projects and strategic initiatives.
• Supervise laboratory staff by creating work schedules and providing necessary guidance.
• Be adaptable to cover scheduling needs as required.
• Ensure strict adherence to compliance standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to address issues and maintain operational efficiency.
• Monitor testing performance and implement corrective actions and process enhancements.
• Conduct or assign instrument validation, maintenance, and troubleshooting tasks.
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Manage Quality Assurance/Quality Control records and programs.
• Oversee the performance, training, and competency of laboratory personnel.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Biology, Medical Technology, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in high-complexity clinical laboratory testing is essential.
• A valid state Clinical Laboratory Scientist license is required.
• Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with Agilent 6460 and CLC analyzers is advantageous.

• Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM.
• Salary range: $70,000 - $80,000 per year.
• Monthly healthcare stipend for medical coverage.
