Job Description

Role Overview

The Ministry of Defence is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Estate Surveyor to join our team in North America. As a key member of our Defence Infrastructure Organisation, you will play a critical role in managing and maintaining our vast estate portfolio, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to our customers.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement estate management strategies to optimize property utilization and minimize costs.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on property transactions, lease negotiations, and rent reviews.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including military personnel, government officials, and external partners.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement business plans, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior staff members to ensure the development of their skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in estate management, property transactions, and lease negotiations.
  • Strong knowledge of property law, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
