The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a point of sale computer terminal, documenting daily sales, and maintaining accurate records of student meals and adult meal transactions. They will also be required to communicate effectively with students, faculty, parents, and supervisors.

The job description includes the following duties:

  • Operating a point of sale computer terminal to document daily sales
  • Maintaining accurate records of student meals and adult meal transactions
  • Communicating effectively with students, faculty, parents, and supervisors
  • Assisting with garbage removal and cleaning of cafeteria floors and tables
  • Preparing and portioning food, setting up, cleaning, and maintaining service areas

The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or GED, and have basic computer experience, preferably with email, Word, and Excel. Successful completion of Nutrition 101 and Focus on the Customer for School Nutrition Assistants classes within the first year of employment is also required.
