AutoCAD Draftsman

We are seeking a skilled AutoCAD Operator to join our team at Acuren. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing detailed design models and drawings for piping and vessels, as well as converting field ISO sketches into AutoCAD.

• Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, and related data to assess factors affecting the structure of piping and vessels.
• Utilize 3D laser scan point cloud data to generate 3D models, 2D isometrics, and perform P&ID/PFD validation.
• Confer with customer representatives to review schematics and answer questions pertaining to results.
• Develop detailed AutoCAD drawings from sketches, notes, and other input materials.
• Review contract documents with team members and check drawings for accuracy and coordination.
• Work at client facilities to gather information visually and with various measuring equipment.
• Enter provided data into mechanical integrity data management systems.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2-year degree in Mechanical Drafting, CAD, or other related discipline.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in industrial drafting.
• Proficient in various CAD platforms, including AutoCAD, Plant3D, and CadWorx.
• Demonstrates working knowledge of relevant aspects of commercial planning and design.
• Experience with CAD operation related to pressure vessels and piping.
• Knowledge of API codes and other related NDT principles.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
