We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced culinary professional to join our team as a Managing Chef at the University of Georgia's Rock Eagle 4-H Center. As a key member of our dining services team, you will be responsible for overseeing the culinary operations, managing staff, and ensuring exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the culinary team to ensure proper food preparation, presentation, and service.
- Develop and implement menus, recipes, and food ordering processes to meet the needs of our guests.
- Supervise and train staff on food safety, sanitation, and quality control procedures.
- Assist with special events, catering, and banquets, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the operations manager and dining manager to achieve budgetary and sustainability goals.
- Baccalaureate degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Proven supervisory and culinary management experience in a higher education or K-12 environment.
- Current ServSafe manager certification and ability to maintain certification.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
