About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced culinary professional to join our team as a Managing Chef at the University of Georgia's Rock Eagle 4-H Center. As a key member of our dining services team, you will be responsible for overseeing the culinary operations, managing staff, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the culinary team to ensure proper food preparation, presentation, and service.
  • Develop and implement menus, recipes, and food ordering processes to meet the needs of our guests.
  • Supervise and train staff on food safety, sanitation, and quality control procedures.
  • Assist with special events, catering, and banquets, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the operations manager and dining manager to achieve budgetary and sustainability goals.
Requirements
  • Baccalaureate degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Proven supervisory and culinary management experience in a higher education or K-12 environment.
  • Current ServSafe manager certification and ability to maintain certification.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
