Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Case Manager-ED to join our team at Loma Linda University Medical Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for utilizing clinical expertise to determine medical necessity and appropriate patient care in the Emergency Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply clinical knowledge and specialized emergency medicine case management methodologies to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Collaborate with ED physicians, staff, and inpatient providers to focus on the needs of our patient population.
  • Perform other duties as needed to support the team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required, or an Associate's Degree in Nursing and six years of Case Management experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelor's Degree.
  • Minimum three years of bedside nursing in a hospital setting.
  • Minimum one year case management experience preferred.
  • Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association required.
  • Case Management certification preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • In-depth knowledge of case management practice and methodologies.
  • Substantial knowledge of basic nursing concepts and care of the patient as well as education of the adult learner.
