Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Dialysis Nurse. As a Dialysis Nurse, you will play a critical role in delivering unique care plans and providing dialysis treatment to patients. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care and achieve outstanding clinical outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate patient care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for an assigned group of hemodialysis patients.
  • Perform ongoing analysis of patient data with each patient visit and document in the patient medical record.
  • Adjust or modify the treatment plan as indicated and notify supervisor as needed.
  • Provide initial and ongoing education to patients and families.
  • Administer medications as prescribed or in accordance with approved algorithm(s), and document appropriate medical justification and effectiveness.
  • Initiate or assist with emergency response measures.
  • Ensure correct laboratory collection, processing, and shipping procedures are performed.
  • Collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Team on the patient care plan.
  • Ensure patient awareness related to transplant and treatment modality options.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current appropriate state licensure.
  • Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
  • Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience as a Registered Nurse (preferred but not required).
  • Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience (preferred but not required).
  • Successfully pass the Ishihara Color Blind Test.
Work Environment

The position provides direct patient care that regularly involves heavy lifting, moving of patients and assisting with ambulation. Equipment aids and/or coworkers may provide assistance. The work environment is characteristic of a health care facility with air temperature control and moderate noise levels. May be exposed to infectious and contagious diseases/materials.
