Job Title: Cardiac Catheterization TechnologistJob Summary:

PRN Healthcare is seeking a skilled Cardiac Catheterization Technologist to join our team. As a Cardiac Catheterization Technologist, you will be responsible for assisting in the performance of cardiac catheterization procedures, preparing patients for procedures, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the performance of cardiac catheterization procedures, including preparing patients, positioning equipment, and monitoring patients during procedures.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining procedures, obtaining informed consent, and positioning patients.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, including cleaning and disinfecting equipment and maintaining a sterile field.
  • Assist with patient care, including taking vital signs, administering medications, and providing emotional support to patients.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including cardiologists, nurses, and radiologic technologists, to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in a related field, such as cardiovascular technology or a related field.
  • Current certification as a Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) or Registered Cardiovascular Technologist (RCVT) from the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) or the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
  • 1-2 years of experience as a Cardiac Catheterization Technologist or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to maintain a clean and safe environment, including adhering to infection control protocols and maintaining a sterile field.
