Job Summary:

As a Transportation Specialist with Sweet Home School District 55, you will be responsible for operating a school bus or transportation vehicle over designated routes within an established time schedule. Your primary goal will be to transport students to and from school and on special event trips, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the journey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily inspections of a bus or transportation equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Transport students to and from school and on special event trips, adhering to designated routes and time schedules.
• Maintain a safe and orderly environment on the bus, promoting positive behavior among students.
• Perform tasks as required, including but not limited to, driving a school bus and other transportation equipment safely and efficiently.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Successfully pass pre-employment drug screen
• Obtain First Aid/CPR Certification
• Obtain valid Bus Drivers Certification
• Completion of Safe Schools Courses
• 5 years or more driving experience preferred
• 5 years clean driving record
• Flexible, enthusiastic and has a positive attitude
