Job Overview

Position Summary: The Senior Facilities Maintenance Engineer is responsible for overseeing and executing maintenance operations within residential properties, ensuring a high standard of living for all residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and complete all maintenance requests from tenants and management, ensuring timely closure of service tickets in the management system.
  • Maintain professional communication with residents, vendors, and the property management team regarding all maintenance activities.
  • Conduct daily inspections of the property to uphold its aesthetic and functional integrity.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for electrical, plumbing, structural, lighting, and appliance issues.
  • Oversee the unit turnover process to guarantee efficient and effective readiness of units for new occupants.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the maintenance shop, equipment rooms, and shared spaces.
  • Regularly inspect all areas of the property, documenting deficiencies and proposing improvements.
  • Be available to work across multiple property locations as required.
  • Participate in after-hours emergency maintenance on a rotational basis, including nights and weekends.
  • Stay informed and compliant with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and fair housing laws.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Maintenance Engineer role within the Residential Property Management sector.
  • Extensive knowledge and training in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Physical ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds regularly, with occasional lifting of 50+ pounds.
  • Effective communication skills and proficiency in computer usage as necessary.
