Miami University is seeking a talented fundraising professional to join our team as the Director of Development, College of Arts and Science. As a key member of our development staff, you will play a critical role in advancing the mission of Miami University by planning, organizing, and implementing strategies to increase the level of personal involvement and financial commitment of donors and prospects.
About the Role
The Director of Development for the College of Arts and Science will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy that aligns with the college's goals and objectives. This includes identifying, cultivating, and soliciting major gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations. You will work closely with faculty, staff, and other stakeholders to build relationships and secure support for the college's programs and initiatives.
About the Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced fundraising professional who is passionate about higher education and has a proven track record of success in securing major gifts. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree and at least five years of experience in fundraising, sales, business development, or comparable work experience. A cover letter and rsum must accompany all applications. Cover letters should be responsive to the mission of Miami University as well as the responsibilities and qualifications stated in the prospectus.
