About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Psychometrician to join our team at InsideHigherEd. As a Psychometrician, you will play a critical role in gathering and evaluating evidence of content, construct, and criterion validity for each assessment instrument. You will also collect and analyze data to establish acceptable levels of inter-rater, internal, and test-retest reliability.

Job Summary

The Psychometrician will assist in the design, development, and documentation of technical and operational procedures and psychometric guidelines to support the application and continuous improvement of rigorous assessment and evaluation. The successful candidate will have a strong background in psychometrics and assessment procedures, with excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Recommend methodologies and analyses to support best practices in reliability and validity for new and existing assessment instruments
• Perform psychometric analyses to support best practices in reliability and validity for new and existing assessment instruments
• Assist in the design, development, and documentation of technical and operational procedures and psychometric guidelines
• Document technical requirements, clean and maintain data for analysis, and create and run custom analyses
• Maintain data privacy, ensure data integrity, and model best practices in data privacy laws and policies
• Demonstrate strong data entry and computer skills, including proficiency in SPSS and MS Office

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Psychology, Psychometrics, or a related field with five years of specialized training and experience in the areas of psychometrics and assessment procedures
• OR Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Psychology, Psychometrics, or a related field with a minimum of two years of specialized training and experience in the areas of psychometrics and assessment procedures

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification as a psychometrist
• Experience working in a healthcare or educational setting

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills

Shift/Salary/Benefits

Days/M-F (work outside of the normal business hours will likely be required of an employee in an exempt level position)

Pay Band: 12

Salary: Minimum $62,300.00/Annually - $79,400.00/Annually
