The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials into and out of our warehouse. This role involves verifying and recording incoming and outgoing shipments, preparing items for shipment, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
Key Responsibilities- Verify and record incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Prepare items for shipment by performing duties such as counting, weighing, and measuring
- Receive and post incoming orders, reconcile vendor invoices, and process shipping paperwork in a timely and accurate manner
- Determine the most efficient method and mode of shipment to meet customer requirements
- Operate equipment such as lift trucks and hand trucks to convey, move, or hoist materials to proper departments or areas
- Unpack, examine, and route incoming shipments, reject damaged items, and record shortages
- Monitor and process incoming customer returns, new returns, damage claims, warranty returns, and core returns
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure that parts are properly stocked and assigned to bin locations
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Basic computer knowledge required
- Valid Driver's License required
- Complete and pass OSHA-approved forklift training
