Job Summary

The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for designing and testing electrical circuits in support of new product developments as well as enhancing existing products in our energy storage product portfolio.



Key Responsibilities

The incumbent will be responsible for reviewing and taking ownership of customer technical requirements, developing an electrical architecture to satisfy the technical requirements within the constraints of budget, recurring cost, and schedule, and performing detailed design and analysis for new circuit or circuit variants including schematic design of Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) for Power Supplies, Battery Chargers, and Battery Management Circuits.



Additional Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in product qualification of new products per customer requirements and industry standards such as DO-160, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-704, and MIL-STD-461.
  • Generate sub-assembly and top-assembly acceptance test procedures (ATP).
  • Resolve technical problems with existing products and new designs.
  • Perform prototype and qualification unit testing activities.
  • Participate in software development, verification, testing, and documentation per DO-178.
  • Use simulation software such as Matlab or PSPICE to simulate design concepts.
  • Generate engineering documents such as Test Plans and Test Reports.
  • Support integration and system testing of hardware and software.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.


Requirements

The successful candidate will have a background which includes the following demonstrable experience, skills, and education:



  • BSEE (required) or MSEE (preferred)
  • 7-10 years of experience in electrical design of printed circuit boards
  • Expert knowledge of Analog and Digital Circuits
  • Familiar with PWM control for AC/DC and DC/DC power conversion.
  • Strong ability in use lab equipment (Oscilloscope, DMM, DAQ, etc.) for troubleshooting or testing.
  • Able to read and interpret schematics.
  • Understanding of C/C++ and assembly code for embedded systems is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Skilled with MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Follows Company Policies and Guidelines for engineering design and can recommend/drive process improvements.
  • Exhibits a High Level of Integrity.


Work Environment

The employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time and an air-conditioned and heated office. The noise level is occasionally high.
