The University of Vermont Medical Center is the only tertiary referral center and Level 1 Trauma Center for the catchment area of Vermont and Northern Upstate New York. Our Department of Radiology is part of the larger University of Vermont Health Network in Northern Vermont and New York, comprised of six smaller hospitals in addition to the University of Vermont Medical Center.
We hold ACR accreditation as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence. Our section is typically staffed with 3 to 4 radiologists each day and performs over 28,000 mammographic exams per year, including 23,000 screening mammograms, with 3D tomosynthesis. We have 7 Hologic mammographic units, 4 GE Logic E-10 ultrasound units, and a Philips wide bore 3.0T unit for clinical breast MRI.
The successful candidate will join our growing Division of Breast Imaging, which is currently composed of 6 dedicated breast imagers.
