ESL Instructor

Cape Fear Community College is seeking a part-time ESL Instructor to join our team. As an ESL Instructor, you will be responsible for providing classroom instruction to adult ESL students, assessing their needs, and using these assessments to inform direct instruction.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and experience teaching adult ESL students. They will be able to implement various teaching methods to meet the learning styles of individuals who cannot read or speak English and follow-up and follow-through to ensure each student realizes educational gains and success.

• Provide classroom instruction to adult ESL students
• Assess students' needs and use these assessments to inform direct instruction
• Implement various teaching methods to meet the learning styles of individuals who cannot read or speak English
• Follow-up and follow-through to ensure each student realizes educational gains and success

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• Experience teaching adult ESL students
• Ability to implement various teaching methods to meet the learning styles of individuals who cannot read or speak English

• TESOL or K-12 teacher certification
• Experience teaching employability skills
• Ability to apply adult learning theory and principles
