Job Title: Senior Azure Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Azure Engineer to join our team at Jewelers Mutual Group. As a key member of our cloud engineering team, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing our cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability, scalability, and security.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and architecture of complex cloud solutions in Microsoft Azure, considering performance, availability, security, and cost optimization.
  • Oversee the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure, including virtual machines, networking, storage, and security measures.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement continuous integration and deployment pipelines, ensuring seamless application deployments and updates.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and Infrastructure as Code (IAC) templates using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud resources to ensure efficient utilization, cost-effectiveness, and optimal performance.
  • Implement and maintain robust security controls, identity and access management, and compliance standards across cloud environments.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to cloud services, networking, and infrastructure components.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior cloud engineers, fostering a culture of learning and professional growth.
  • Collaborate with cloud service providers (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) to ensure alignment with best practices, access to support, and utilization of latest features.
  • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, architectural diagrams, and operational procedures.
