Nursing Assistant

As a Nursing Assistant at CHRISTUS Health, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others while advancing your career in the healthcare industry.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharge, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for our patients and families.
• Provide ADL care, including passing water bed baths, shower, and oral hygiene, changing bed linens, and cleaning overhead tables, to maintain a clean and comfortable environment for our patients.
• Provide evening care, including passing water back rubs, bed baths, shower, oral hygiene, and changing bed linens, to ensure our patients receive the best possible care.
• Provide general nursing care, such as positioning, transfers to chair or stretcher, lifting and turning patients, and using specialized equipment, to promote patient safety and comfort.
• Anticipate patient needs, make frequent rounds, and respond promptly to call lights to ensure our patients receive timely and effective care.
• Demonstrate the ability to perform procedures, such as glucose monitoring, within the Nursing Assistant's scope of practice, to promote patient safety and well-being.
• Report complaints about pain immediately to licensed personnel and observe patients' mental and physical conditions, reporting changes to licensed personnel to ensure timely interventions.
• Maintain Universal Precautions and follow policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our patients and staff.
Requirements
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Licenses & Certifications: C-Cert Nursing Asst, C-CPI, C-BLS
