Job Title: Staff Nurse I/ New Grad, NICU

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Staff Nurse I/ New Grad to join our NICU team at Sutter Health. As a Staff Nurse I/ New Grad, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to our critically ill newborns and their families.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, coordinate, and evaluate patient care, including direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that incorporate psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare providers through effective communication.
  • Adhere to hospital policies, industry standards, best practices, and applicable laws/regulations to promote a quality, highly reliable patient experience.
  • Engage in continuous growth and development in professional nursing practice.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required.
  • BSN preferred.
  • RN-Registered Nurse of California required.
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider required.
  • NRP-Neonatal Resuscitation Provider required.
  • Minimum six (6) months or less clinical experience required.

Work Environment:

This position may regularly work, store, prepare, receive, unpack, transport, dispose of, or administer drug(s) identified as hazardous, or potentially hazardous, by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) for purposes of USP 800.
