About the RoleAs a Medical ICU Nurse at Mercy, you'll have the opportunity to pioneer new models of care and transform the healthcare experience through advanced technology and innovative procedures.
Our Progressive Care Unit (PCU) provides care to patients requiring a higher level of surveillance than a general med/surg floor but not presenting the need for critical care in an intensive care unit.
You'll work with a diverse patient population, caring for all systems from neuro to cardiac to GI and beyond.
Responsibilities- Nursing assessment and reassessment every 2 to 4 hours
- Clinical care for patients with various medical needs, including respiratory distress, dysrhythmia, and BIPAP/CPAP therapy
- Unit-specific certifications, including ACLS, basic dysrhythmia interpretation, NIHSS, and ASLS
- Graduated from an accredited school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Day-one comprehensive health, vision, and dental coverage, PTO, tuition reimbursement, and employer-matched retirement funds
- RN Loan Forgiveness - Mercy will assist in paying off up to $20,000 of your student debt (available for new grads only)
