Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Retail Department Supervisor to join our team at TJ Maxx. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for promoting an excellent customer experience and overseeing a team of Associates at the front of the store.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Experience: Create a positive internal and external customer experience by engaging and interacting with all customers, and maintaining a clean and organized store.
  • Team Leadership: Oversees a team of Associates, assigns registers, supports and responds to POS coverage needs, and coordinates breaks for all Associates.
  • Training and Development: Trains and coaches Associates on personalizing the customer experience while promoting loyalty programs, and partners with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensures Associates execute tasks and activities according to store plan, prioritizes as needed, and communicates accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities.
Requirements
  • Availability: Available to work flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Merchandising Techniques: Strong understanding of merchandising techniques.
  • Communication and Organizational Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Leadership Experience: 1 year retail and 6 months of leadership experience.
