Job Overview

West Fraser, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Process Specialist to support management in evaluating production methodologies and enhancing equipment reliability and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess safety, production, and maintenance workflows to identify opportunities for margin enhancement.
  • Examine Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) processes and provide recommendations regarding requirements and standardized operational procedures.
  • Oversee production and quality assurance systems, as well as other operational reports, to identify process issues and trends.
  • Guide assigned team members to foster efficiency and develop leadership and teamwork capabilities.
  • Propose process enhancements within the work environment to achieve greater efficiencies.
  • Ensure effective communication among all team members to minimize misunderstandings.
  • Collaborate with senior staff on personnel, safety, financial, and procurement matters, seeking opportunities to improve all functional areas.
  • Additional duties may be assigned by the Engineering Manager.
  • Engage in special projects and other responsibilities as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
