Radiologic Technologist Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist Specialist to join our team at the University of Miami UHealth System. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the Interventional Radiology department, including the operation of radiographic equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images with minimal radiation exposure.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiologic technology, with experience in vascular interventional radiography and a valid State of Florida License as a General Radiographer. Additionally, the candidate should be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and certified in Vascular Interventional Radiography.
The Radiologic Technologist Specialist will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality care and customer service. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating scheduling and patient flow, supervising diagnostic imaging studies, and assisting with the education and training of new physicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage scheduling and patient flow for interdepartmental procedures.
- Supervise and perform diagnostic imaging studies under the direction of a radiologist.
- Assist with the education and training of new physicians.
- Participate in research initiatives and develop new protocols and ultrasound imaging techniques.
- Act as a team leader and monitor charging of ultrasound procedures and supplies.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology/Diagnostic Imaging program.
- Valid State of Florida License as a General Radiographer.
- ARRT registered and certified in Vascular Interventional Radiography.
- CPR and BLS certification required.
