Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Android Developer with a strong background in Kotlin and modern Android development tools and practices. The ideal candidate will have experience with technologies and frameworks such as Jetpack, Jetpack Compose, Hilt, MVVM, MVI, Room Database, Datastore, Retrofit, Gson, and kotlinx.serialization.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain Android applications using Kotlin.
  • Utilize Jetpack and Jetpack Compose to build responsive and efficient UIs.
  • Implement dependency injection with Hilt.
  • Apply MVVM and MVI architectural patterns to manage UI-related data.
  • Work with Room Database and Datastore for local data storage.
  • Integrate RESTful APIs using Retrofit.
  • Use Kotlin Coroutines and Flows for asynchronous programming.
  • Serialize and deserialize JSON using Gson and kotlinx.serialization.
  • Write unit and UI tests using Jetpack Compose Testing APIs, Espresso, AndroidX Test, Mock, and Shot.
  • Manage build processes with Gradle, including the use of Spotless for code formatting and JaCoCo for code coverage metrics.
  • Perform static code analysis using Lint.
  • Generate documentation using Dokka.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as an Android Developer with minimum 9 years' experience.
  • Proficiency in Kotlin and Android development.
  • Strong understanding of Jetpack, Jetpack Compose, and modern Android architecture components.
  • Experience with dependency injection frameworks, particularly Hilt.
  • Familiarity with MVVM and MVI patterns.
  • Knowledge of Room Database, Datastore, and Retrofit.
  • Experience with Kotlin Coroutines and Flows.
  • Proficiency in JSON libraries such as Gson and kotlinx.serialization.
  • Experience with unit and UI testing frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Gradle build tools and plugins.
  • Understanding of static code analysis tools.
  • Ability to generate and maintain documentation using Dokka.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
