Job Summary

We are seeking a certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our team as a Health Technician at our Sobering Center in San Jose, CA. As a Health Technician, you will provide a safe environment for participants by monitoring for potential medical and mental health issues during withdrawal and crisis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor participants' vitals and provide medications as needed
  • Collaborate with participants' medical/mental health providers
  • Transport participants to and from the sobering center
  • Make necessary referrals as needed
Requirements
  • Certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in the State of California
  • A.A. Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to work with diverse populations, cultures, and people with co-occurring disorders and disabilities
  • Ability to handle and de-escalate emergency situations
  • Skilled in time management and collaboration with the team
