Electrician Instructor

This part-time position requires an industry professional to train students in Electrical Apprenticeship programs at Dixie Technical College.

We are seeking a dedicated instructor who can create a positive learning environment, planning and implementing effective instructional training programs. The selected candidate must have 5+ years of experience in the industry and hold a Residential Journeyman Electrician or Journeyman Electrician license.

The salary for this position is estimated to be between $40 and $50 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Instruct students according to classroom syllabi and provide feedback to full-time instructors.
• Develop diverse learning experiences that retain student interest while transmitting information and developing skills.
• Communicate clear objectives and well-defined competencies for the program and all learning activities.
• Assign and grade class work, homework, tests, and assignments in a timely manner.
• Evaluate and record student performance and development, providing appropriate feedback.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in the industry required.
• Residential Journeyman Electrician or Journeyman Electrician license required.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong communications and presentation skills.
