Position Responsibilities

As a member of the instrumentation and ATD department, you will play a crucial role in supporting vehicle, component, and safety hardware tests.

  • Assist in executing various tests and projects.
  • Utilize diagnostic equipment, hand tools, power tools, soldering iron, and multimeter effectively.
  • Install and verify sensors and data acquisition systems necessary for vehicle and component evaluations.
  • Conduct calibrations on various sensors and Crash Test Dummies.
  • Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble Crash Test Dummies as needed.
  • Perform bench checks on sensors and Crash Test Dummies to ensure proper functionality.
  • Install and remove sensors, data acquisition systems, and Crash Test Dummies from test vehicles.
  • Fabricate, assemble, maintain, and repair wiring harnesses and connectors for crash sensors.
  • Execute crash tests and compile data acquisition reports.
  • Gather crash test data using various measurement tools and vehicle CAN channels.
  • Analyze test results, compile data, and generate reports accurately and promptly.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of work areas, including logs and inventory.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and organized working environment.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma; a two-year technical degree or relevant trade experience is preferred.
  • Proficient in computer operations with strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic equipment and hand tools.
  • Ability to utilize various tools and measurement techniques effectively.
  • Adaptability to changes in projects and the evolving automotive industry.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate across departments.

  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work extended hours as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid driver's license required.
