Assistant Grower

The Section Grower - Horticultural Expert is responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant growth and development in a designated area of the greenhouse. Key responsibilities include:

• Evaluating plant health and identifying potential issues related to water, fertilizer, pH, EC, and insect and disease problems.
• Diagnosing and addressing problems, adjusting and operating environmental controls as needed.
• Collaborating with the Head Grower to develop and implement plans to address plant health issues.
• Supervising personnel in their section and ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Performing chemical applications and serving as a weekend manager at least once a month.

This role requires a high level of physical exertion, including walking, lifting, and working in a hot and humid environment. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of horticultural principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.
