Position Title: Nursing Care Assistant

COMPENSATION:
Starting at $18.97/hr. (up to $22.00/hr. based on experience)

EMPLOYMENT TYPE:
Full-Time

NOTE:
This position is specifically for candidates who are already certified in New York State.

WORK SCHEDULE:
Full-Time, Days, Evenings

ROLE OVERVIEW:
The Nursing Care Assistant (NCA) operates under the supervision of a licensed nurse (RN) to deliver essential nursing and personal care to residents and patients in accordance with their individualized care plans.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist residents with daily living activities as outlined in their care plans.
- Provide bathing assistance through bed baths, showers, or tub baths.
- Support residents in dressing or fully dress those who are unable to do so independently.
- Aid residents in using the restroom when necessary.
- Maintain hygiene by washing and keeping residents dry when they cannot use the toilet.
- Assist residents in transitioning between beds, chairs, wheelchairs, and other care equipment.
- Transport residents using wheelchairs or walkers and provide support during ambulation.
- Utilize lift equipment and collaborate with team members to reposition residents as needed.
- Help residents with meals, including passing trays and assisting with feeding when required.
- Document meal consumption as per established policies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by nursing leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 18 years old; high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Registered with the New York State Nurse Aide Registry.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions effectively.
- Committed to maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness.
- Physical stamina for frequent activity; capable of lifting a minimum of 20 pounds.
