Stability Direct is in search of a dedicated Mammography Technologist to join our team. This role is essential in providing high-quality imaging services to patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare examination rooms, ensuring all necessary equipment and materials are ready for patient use.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the imaging area and equipment.
- Assist in the preparation of chemical mixtures for mammography procedures.
- Support radiologists during the administration of intravenous and subcutaneous materials.
- Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and positioning them appropriately.
- Utilize prescribed techniques to conduct general and specialized X-ray procedures, adjusting equipment as necessary.
- Verify image quality prior to transmission to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
- Monitor patients and equipment during procedures, documenting any unusual occurrences.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and perform general administrative tasks.
- Participate in quality control testing as required.
- Ensure patient and personal safety by adhering to proper radiation protection protocols.
- Assist in training new staff members on procedures and protocols.
- Uphold confidentiality and comply with professional dress codes.
- Demonstrate reliability by adhering to attendance standards.
- Assist in emergency situations by transporting patients as needed.
- Incorporate patient age and physiological needs into care delivery.
- Be flexible with work hours to meet departmental needs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Radiographic Technology program.
- Minimum of one year of experience in Radiography, with at least one year in mammography.
- Completion of 15 Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits specific to breast imaging within the last three years.
- Documentation of performing 200 mammograms in the past two years.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with the role, including standing, walking, and lifting.
- Strong teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and comprehending English.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and respond promptly to needs.
Licenses and Certifications
- ARRT Certification in Radiography and Mammography required upon hire.
- Licensure by the NJ Department of Environmental Protection required upon hire.
- BCLS - Basic Life Support certification required upon hire.
Work Schedule
This is a full-time position with a standard workweek from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5:30 PM. Stability Direct is committed to providing exceptional healthcare staffing solutions.
