The General Service Technician is a key member of our team at Pep Boys, responsible for providing exceptional customer service and performing a variety of automotive services.
Key Responsibilities- Perform Basic Automotive Services: Mount and balance tires, perform tire repairs, change oil, inspect vehicles, and perform other less technical services.
- Deliver Excellent Customer Experience: Provide advice and sell customers on recommended or required automotive services and repairs.
- Maintain a Clean and Safe Work Environment: Ensure the tire and service department is clean and safe for customers and employees.
- Diagnose and Repair Basic Automotive Issues: Learn to diagnose and repair brakes, alignments, suspensions, cooling, and electrical systems.
- Continuously Learn and Improve: Participate in formal training sessions to stay up-to-date with rapidly changing automotive technology.
- Valid Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license.
- Passion for Automotive Industry: Must have a passion for a career as a technician in the automotive industry.
- Eager to Learn and Compete: Must be eager to learn and have a competitive drive to succeed.
- High School Diploma or GED: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Availability: Must be available to work days, nights, holidays, and weekends as needed.
- Background Check: Must pass a pre-employment background check.
