Department Head

SiteOne Landscape Supply is seeking a highly skilled Department Manager to join our team. As a key member of our branch, you will be responsible for leading the nursery/plant material department and working closely with customers to ensure excellence.

• Assist the Branch Manager in sales and operations planning, statistical demand forecasting, and supply and demand integration.
• Promote a safe working environment by emphasizing safety daily and leading by example.
• Encourage a strong safety culture through workplace organization, training, and policy execution.
• Understand and execute inventory management principles, target customer mix, and sales strategies.
• Create a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and aligns with SiteOne's DNA.
• Train and develop agronomic staff to be knowledgeable about the nursery product line and customer needs, supporting departmental sales goals.
• Partner with branch leadership to implement new technologies and ways of working to positively impact business performance.
• Support other branch departments and customers as needed.

• 1-3 years of experience in the green industry, with a strong understanding of live plant material and nursery products.
• Excellent customer service and management skills.
• Experience with sales and operations planning, forecasting, and accounting fundamentals.
• Ability to learn and adapt new technologies and ways of working.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
