Job Summary
Northwell Health is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team. As a Physician Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including taking initial patient histories and performing physical examinations.
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care, ensuring complete screening and preparation of patients.
- Perform daily patient rounds, monitoring patient progress and making adjustments to care plans as needed.
- Write orders for medications, laboratory work, and diagnostic tests, and interpret laboratory and test results.
- Collaborate with attending physicians, residents, nursing staff, and other care providers to ensure optimal quality of patient care.
- Document patient information, including discharge summaries, prescriptions, and referrals.
- Provide patients with necessary post-discharge care instructions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree, required.
- Graduate of an accredited program, required.
- Current license to practice as a Physician Assistant, required.
- Current NCCPA Certification, required.
- Current BLS certification, required.
