Job Summary:The successful candidate will provide direct client care, implement physician orders, and serve as a shift leader. They will also be responsible for maintaining medication security, ensuring accurate documentation, and interacting positively with clients and staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct client care through established nursing techniques and methods.
- Implement physician orders, including the administration of medication.
- Provide training and leadership to other staff, as needed, and serve as shift leader.
- Maintain medication in a safe and secure manner.
- Ensure all employee and client documentation is submitted in a timely and accurate manner.
- Interact positively with clients and model appropriate socialization and communication skills.
- Serve as a liaison with medical providers, as needed.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, daily staffing, and discharge planning.
- May assist in the evaluation of any admission to the facility.
- Serve as a medical resource for clients and staff.
- May provide on-call coverage for nursing emergencies.
- Observe and respond immediately to any accidents or injuries, medication effects, or unusual incidents.
- Report and document any unusual events according to the Critical Incident Policy.
- Ensure quality service for clients by adhering to rules, regulations, and legal requirements.
- Secure information by adhering to HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 regulations and Seneca's privacy policies.
- Represent Seneca in a positive manner, maintaining a positive attitude and performing duties in accordance with Seneca's Code of Conduct & Ethical Standards.
- Utilize Personal Protective Equipment and follow guidelines outlined in Seneca's Exposure Control Plan.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
