Job Summary:

As a Pharmacy Technician at Froedtert Health, you will provide technical and clerical assistance to pharmacists in processing medication orders and monitoring drug therapy. This role involves procuring, measuring, compounding, counting, and delivering medications under the supervision of a pharmacist, adhering to the guidelines of the Wisconsin Statutes and Administrative Code - Pharmacy Examining Board - Pharmacy Practice Sections.

Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacists in processing medication orders and monitoring drug therapy
• Procure, measure, compound, count, and deliver medications under supervision
• Maintain accurate records and reports
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure patient care

Requirements:

• 1 year of work experience in a hospital pharmacy department preferred
• High School diploma or equivalent required, graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician training program preferred
• Application for Wisconsin registration as a Pharmacy Technician required by hire date, certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through passing the Pharmacy Technician Certification Boards exam (PTCE) or the National Healthcareer Associations exam (ExCPT) required within 6 months of hire
