Job Summary:

The Occupational Therapist Assistant will work under the supervision of an occupational therapist to treat and document care for residents with impaired ability to perform daily activities. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to read, analyze, and interpret medical information.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Follow physicians' orders and directions from the occupational therapist to provide resident care.
  • Provide treatment to help residents maintain or attain the highest level of function possible.
  • Maintain timely and accurate resident reports as required by regulatory agencies and third-party payers.
  • Provide adaptive equipment and preventative measures to prevent decline in residents' function.
  • Observe infection control procedures and ensure the safety of residents under supervision.
Requirements:
  • Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common medical information.
