Ben Aris LLC is looking for a dedicated Grain Procurement Specialist to enhance our operations in sourcing agricultural products and nurturing supplier partnerships. This role is essential in advancing our commodities division and achieving corporate goals.

  • Procure feedstock primarily through direct transactions with farmers.
  • Cultivate robust relationships with local agricultural producers through consistent communication and site visits.
  • Maintain and update a database of competitor bids, discount schedules, and operational hours.
  • Support the management of regional supply and demand forecasts for corn.
  • Inform farmers about various grain contract alternatives and recommend optimal choices for their circumstances.
  • Document purchase agreements in the grain accounting system.
  • Participate in weekly origination meetings and facilitate market discussions with farmers.
  • Organize sustainability program briefings for agricultural producers.
  • Acquire proficiency in at least two trading sectors and plant operations.
  • Foster a strong collaboration with key internal partners.

Qualifications Required:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics or a related discipline is mandatory.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in origination is essential.
