Job Description

IKO North America is a leading manufacturer of roofing and building materials, with a strong commitment to quality, integrity, and trustworthiness. We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join our team and contribute to our continued success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership to optimize cost, quality, productivity, and reliability in our manufacturing processes.
  • Lead and participate in teams to achieve and sustain results in waste elimination and variation reduction.
  • Develop and implement process improvements, including standard work and operator training.
  • Commission new production equipment and processes, and troubleshoot existing ones.
  • Collaborate with plant and maintenance superintendents, plant engineer, and HSE coordinator to improve plant efficiency, output, and safety.
  • Work with the corporate engineering team to ensure compliance with corporate process standards and execute strategic initiatives.
  • Collect and interpret data to develop and implement process improvements.
  • Provide technical leadership for environmental monitoring and performance of plant environmental controls and processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of related hands-on work experience in a manufacturing environment with a proven track record of measurable results.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Basic detail and conceptual design skills.
  • Experience with project management and implementation from initial planning stages to completion.
  • Lean Six Sigma skills and experience preferred.
  • Advanced analytical skills and creativity in solving problems/troubleshooting.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple short and long-term projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) with the ability to effectively work with others in a team environment.

  • This position requires the legal ability to work in the United States.
  • Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
