We are seeking a highly skilled Family Practice Physician to provide high-quality medical care to patients in need. As a Family Practice Physician Locum Tenens, you will have the opportunity to work in a Joint Commission accredited federal facility.
Key Responsibilities- Provide medical services to patients in accordance with Indian Health Service (IHS) policies and procedures.
- Work under the direction of the Clinical Director or designee.
- Act in a thoroughly professional manner at all times.
- Examine, diagnose, and develop treatment plans and recommendations for patients seen.
- Recommend and refer patients to other Indian Health Service providers and Purchase Referred Care vendors within appropriate IHS guidelines.
- Document services utilizing the appropriate electronic medical record system for patient encounters.
- Ensure compliance with CMS and TJC requirements.
- Provide physician service and staff same day clinic, as needed.
- Complete all annual training required by the Clinical Director and IHS/HHS policies.
- Board Certified in or Board Eligible in Family Practice.
- Completed a residency program in an approved Family Practice, Family Practice or Training Program.
- Proficient in electronically documenting services.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
