Description:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Platform Engineer / Python Engineer to join our engineering team at Saxon Global. This engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our infrastructure and applications using Python and related technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement platform engineering solutions using Python

• Develop and maintain infrastructure and applications using Python

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of applications

Requirements:

• 8 years of experience in software engineering using Python

• Strong understanding of cloud services (AWS and Azure preferred)

• Experience with large-scale distributed systems architectures

• Strong background in Linux administration and network administration

• Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Chef, and/or Puppet

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with containerization using Docker

• Knowledge of core internet protocols including, but not limited to TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP

• Experience with continuous delivery and integration frameworks including deployment automation, configuration management, test, and source code/git repositories

• Experience with public cloud IaaS and PaaS services
